Meaning, I always meet the dog or Puppy WHERE they are At Now…. Emotionally or Mentally, taking into consideration their Level of Understanding, their age, breed, environment, etc.
I’ve naturally developed a special understanding of dogs and the language they speak. I recognize that many dog parents misunderstand or misdiagnose what our dogs are doing or saying to us, and this gets in the way of bonding, learning and building trust & respect with our dogs. And usually this ‘lack of understood communication’ backfires and gives you the dog you DON’t want. So PuppyLuv Academy was born, to close this gap of miscommunication, between dog and its family.
I don’t just teach commands. Dogs are not robots. They are living & loving souls and deserve to be Part of the Training; to be talked TO… not at. They deserve our patients, our consistency and our commitment….as WE are the ones Who want the Change in them. They don’t speak our language, so it is our responsibility to teach them our way of communication, so that they understand What we want. This important step is often missed in general obedience training. I believe we get better results when the dog wants to work for us, rather than being forced to do what We want.
The Inspiration & Mission of PuppyLuv Academy, is to maintain focus on ‘Prevention Training’… to give you and your dog more Freedom, more Confidence and more Fun Together! I strongly believe prevention training has huge long term benefits for you and your dog.
OUR MISSION
When people are having problems with their dog, people often blame their dog for all problems, without regard for what the dog or puppy is understanding or feeling or communicating. This is a huge missing link, that I want to build and help people understand the importance of connecting this missing link. The benefit is huge. I want to teach people to allow themselves to see their dog as an innocent vulnerable creature who loves to learn and to please, (not the mean, bully, bad dog..usually assumed)..and see that they are more than just the pet, the family dog. I want to teach people to learn to pay attention, and listen and learn from their dog (building awareness), especially when they are training. This leads to better bonding & quicker understanding & compliance than the usual alternative of locking a dog in a kennel. I want to create a book that will promote myself as a doggie coach to help people maneuver their problem areas with their dogs/puppies.
PUPPYLUV ACADEMY hopes to benefit all dogs & their owners by teaching people a better way to live with their dogs. I want to help, guide, and coach people in their difficult or troubled relationship with their dog or new puppy. (Potty training, leash walking, chewing, barking, biting, excitement, etc.) A lot of the problems people have with their family dogs are because most people lack the awareness to understand that their dog is an emotional animal, just like we are as humans. And as humans, we sometimes need to be heard or dealt with more gently, with care. I want to teach people that dogs are the same, and this is one of the reasons we love them so because they are like us; They give us love when WE need it, and no one else is. Yet, in return, we don’t always treat them with the same gentle care & understanding. After all, it’s just a dog, right?
Even if the behavior is held for a long time, I give dog lovers hope and teach them solutions to change long-term bad behavior. I believe all problem issues can be improved, dogs just need someone to believe it’s possible, someone to take the time with them, and to give them time to process and learn new behavior.
That is me! I’m that someone!! And you can be too!! I want to teach you How to get the dog and the results you want.
